aspects of using PowerPivot for reporting, especially for business analysts and other non-I.T. people. In this workshop, I will explain some basic data modeling terms, help you identify characteristics of your data so that you can easily take advantage of the powerful reporting features with PowerPivot, and help you understand the relationship between the data model and how the data appears in your pivot table. We’ll also identify how the different types of data impact the ability to build a meaningful report, discuss how the different levels of data are interpreted, and discuss adding data into an existing model to expand its capabilities. By the end of the hour, you will be able to identify the Facts and Dimensions in your models, and understand how to expand your model to include new and interesting ways of analyzing your data.
