For years, we have built data warehouses, data marts, and cubes to get data into the hands of our users. As big data came on the scene with its Vs, the focus shifted to nonrelational data sources for use with analytics. Consumption architecture is built on the idea that no matter the structure or type of data that is available it must be consumable. During this session we will look at an architecture that is focused on the consumers of the data not the systems that produce it. This does not displace any of the technologies currently used in business intelligence today, but embraces them by making them available to be consumed by end users, data analysts, and data scientists.
